A guide to learning at Jaguar Land Rover
Learning new skills can be useful, but continuing to learn throughout life can improve and maintain our mental wellbeing. Learning can boost self-confidence and self-esteem, help build a sense of purpose, and help us connect with others.
Investing in our own and our teams learning is a vital part of creating a positive and engaging experience of working at Jaguar Land Rover. Everyone should know that their learning and growth is valued and that we want everybody to be giving their best for themselves, their teams and the business.
Classes and formal courses are great ways to learn new things, but there are lots of other ways, too. You can find a wealth of learning resources within the Jaguar and Land Rover Learning Academy to help engage and inspire. And don’t forget, learning is one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
Be curious make learning part of your every day.

Employee Learning Scheme (ELS)
The Employee Learning Scheme (ELS) is a fantastic and unique JLR benefit which entitles JLR people to a set amount of funding which they can use to spend on learning experiences outside of JLR, and that are unrelated to the workplace. This could be a language you’ve always wanted to learn, or a sport you’ve decided to take up.
The ELS website is new for 2022 and has a huge variety of courses available for you to choose to learn almost anything. You can also recommend courses or suppliers to the scheme through the website if you have a suggestion in mind.
The funding is available to all JLR people, and everyone has access to the funding amount set by the ELS Committee for the current ELS term. This can be used individually or can be put towards a group booking with your colleagues.
Take a look at the ELS website here to begin your ELS journey. Please take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions for further information.
