Current and Planned Programmes
Functional Restoration Programme
A 6-week program that delivers tailored, corrective exercise programs to patients that have either reach the end of their physiotherapy treatment plan and need additional support or are not responding to physiotherapy treatment alone.
Effectively planned FRPs for pain/injury serve the most important role of helping the patient return to work and improve work abilities.
Also referred to as work or physical conditioning, work hardening or functional exercise programs, these FRPs simulate work tasks ad primarily include physical and muscle training exercises. Most often, a cognitive behavioural approach is followed, which includes attitudes and behaviours such as fear of movement and failure.
The Body Ready program is delivered through a group-based exercise environment, to provide support through progressive, holistic rehabilitation to encourage both mental and physical health.
This is typically done in 6 sessions and with additional education through nutritional, health, and lifestyle advice.
The program is a good fit for patients suffering with some type of mental health concern and/or chronic or sub-acute lifestyle induced diseases who are currently under Occupational Health case management and would benefit from lifestyle enhanced exercise classes.
The Long Covid program will create a small group-based exercise environment, to support patients through the 12-week program. SMART goals and outcome measures will be carried out individually for each patient during the initial assessment.
The goal being to provide support through progressive, holistic rehabilitation to encourage both mental and physical health. This will be done through nutritional, health, and lifestyle advice.
The principles of and evidence on rehabilitation will allow an effective response to supporting employees that are experiencing symptoms and problems associated with Post-Acute Covid Syndrome and Long Covid.
